So I leave the house for work and drive Nauti, leaving at 0940 and arriving at 1000. About twenty minutes.
I leave the house for work on the bike, leaving at 0910 and arriving at 0935. About twenty-five minutes.
(The route is essentially the same--Middlefield to Castro, and then by auto down Central to Mary and then back up Evelyn to Berndardo, but by bike down Evelyn to Bernardo.)

Drive it a few times, bike it a few times, to see how the data set develops.

Then you can see if the additional automobile overhead is worth it.

Oh, I intend to switch over to biking at least some of the time, simply because I'm not gettig to the gym as often as I'd like, and a two mile walk at lunchtime isn't cutting it as far as physical activity goes. I was just surprized by this single datum, because it was entirely not what I expected. And if it maintains, I will continue to be surprized. (:
