cyrano: (Address Me)
[personal profile] cyrano
Yes, it's the triumphant return of IFAMAQ!D--however, with me not working at the airport, expectations will be a bit different. Instead of answering questions while I'm sitting at work, bored, I'll plan to answer them over the course of the weekend. And then, just to be an attention whore, I'm planning to repost the questions, with answers, on Monday so that everybody can witness my extreme cleverness. This, of course, will replace Top of the Pops. Those who will miss it should start doing it themselves!
So. It's Friday. You should... you know.

Are the Republicans really serious about Mike Huckabee?

They are dead serious.
The problem is, the Republican party is nearly as fractured and piecemeal as the Democratic Party is. So different factions are serious in different ways. The Libertarian wing is seriously horrified. The Corporate wing is seriously concerned. The Evangelical wing is seriously enthralled.
And so it goes.

What was your favorite musical discovery of 2007?

With Bitter:Sweet safely inside the 2008 zone, I would have to say Matt Nathanson. He was on nonstop rotation in the car for about two weeks, which at the time was pretty much unheard of for me.

Actually, I forgot KT Tunstall who I think I discovered in 2007. So it's closer than I thought.

But *why* are you replacing top of the Pops?

Also, have you read "The Looking Glass Wars"?

Usually, we only allow one question a week. But because of the hiatus, and because you're cute, I'll allow it.
I suppose it's more accurate to say that TotP is on hiatus of its own, until I find out how much goofing around time I have on Mondays. If I have time for both reposting and TotP (and I remember to do them both) then why not?
Looking Glass Wars sounds vaguely familiar. I think I saw 'volume 2' when I was in Borders avoiding the rain a few weeks ago.

You DID! But you have to start with vol. 1. (It's a trilogy, the third comes out this year.)

It's Alice. In Wonderland. Only *way* cooler.

I was worried, because there was some sort of card game/novel/computer crossover thingie that looked absolutely abominable in the past year or two, and I couldn't remember what it was so I could avoid it.

I'm kind of fussy about reimaginings of: Alice in Wonderland, The Oz Books and Peter Pan.

Will Bush and Cheney start a war with Iran?

I believe the only thing wrong with this is the tense of the verb. Have started, but as yet have failed with the follow through.

Why is cheese so delicious?

Date: 2008-01-18 11:41 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] cyranocyrano.livejournal.com
Cheese is full of fat. And fat is bad for us. As science has proven, the worse something is for your health, the better it tastes. (Exceptions in this theory include Liquid Dran-o which, despite the minty aftertaste, is not as satisfying as you might expect.)

Is that why my mouthwash doesn't feel like it's been working? And here I thought that I was simply gargling incorrectly. =D

Technically, Dran-O is not recommended as a mouthwash. It does leave your breath fresh, however.

Plus it has that nice tingly feeling as the first few layers of your tongue are eaten away!
