I'm supposed to go to a themed masquerade style party. And the theme is New Orleans.
I suck at thinking of costumes. And this is why I hang out with clever people. You should suggest ideas, especially if you're vaguely familar with my wardrobe.

Errr... when is it? I think you've rather missed Mardi Gras and have now fully proceeded into Lent. (Do not pass 'Go', do not collect $100.)

It's the first. And Mardi Gras is specifically stated as a possibly costuming influence. They're .... sort of an anti-Lent coalition.
