Debra Starks thinks that sexism is playing a role in attempts by Democratic Party members trying to get Clinton to concede the presidential primary.

I do too, but probably not the same role she thinks. From what I've seen of primary politics, if she weren't a woman then I think the pressure would have been far greater far sooner--party functionaries are very nervous about how long it's taking to decide this primary, and they're used to things being all wrapped up and being able to start the Democratic campaign by the time about half the primaries are over, and they're not getting that. They don't want a drawn out primary, they feel it weakens them for the actual election, and I think they're a little frightened that in a year when the Democrats should be essentially waltzing into the White House they may go home empty handed.

Agreed on all counts, except I'm rather happy about it. ;-)

Then you are probably not a Democratic party functionary. (:

I don't think it's about sexism. Even her own staff admitted she currently has a 10% chance of winning based on the numbers. The super-delegates have been making it clear they will reflect the will of the electorate.

The woman just can't admit she's lost, and she doesn't care if it costs the party the election. I think she's being incredibly selfish.

I, too, think Clinton is the beneficiary of sexism-- in her favor, that is, by those women who have no problem with identity politics. Many of her female supporters are supporting her for regular reasons, but some are doing it 'cause they want to see a woman as President. Whether that's legitimate is of course entirely up to individual opinion. But I suspect they're a small minority, which is good.

I'm glad the primary is taking this long. Pennsylvanians don't often have a chance to make any difference. Obama is winning in my community's blog's poll, by the way, 43% to 35%.
