cyranoDebra Starks thinks that sexism is playing a role in attempts by Democratic Party members trying to get Clinton to concede the presidential primary.
I do too, but probably not the same role she thinks. From what I've seen of primary politics, if she weren't a woman then I think the pressure would have been far greater far sooner--party functionaries are very nervous about how long it's taking to decide this primary, and they're used to things being all wrapped up and being able to start the Democratic campaign by the time about half the primaries are over, and they're not getting that. They don't want a drawn out primary, they feel it weakens them for the actual election, and I think they're a little frightened that in a year when the Democrats should be essentially waltzing into the White House they may go home empty handed.
