Grousing about Battlestar
Jun. 22nd, 2008 07:24 pmSo I was going to talk
I could have sworn that I'd read somebody talking about Ron Moore pulling another classic "What the Fuck" moment and people's heads exploding and stuff.
I'm now fairly convinced that I just dreamed that, because... wow. What a mediocre 'who cares' cliffhanger. I realize that nobody promised that the Fifth Cylon would be revealed before the break, but throw me a fuckin' bone here. If your big reveal is 'Earth is a postapocalyptic wasteland' then at least give me a half-buried Statue of Liberty or.... something. I liked the peaceful resolution of the Caprican Standoff, but pretty much the whole episode was a disappointment.
The previous episode, The Hub, at least had some semi-interesting bits about mortality and everything has an end and stuff, but there's been way too much manufactured conflict and... wasted potential.

I have been enjoying "Rome" though. HBO and the like seem to be producing the best shows.
