cyrano: (E is for...)

I think I missed the stone. Urine is clear, there's little to no pain. Hopefully Dr. Lin can offer some useful advice even without the hard evidence.

The lady in the next bed over from mine yesterday was talking with the intake nurse about her leg giving her trouble. When asked about the pain, on a scale of one to ten, she said "Oh, I'd say a seven or an eight."
Now, when I'd reported a seven earlier that morning, I did it through clenched teeth and with an interruption or two for breath. She reported it casually as if talking about what she had for breakfast. Either our scales differ significantly or she has amazing pain management.

Yup.

I was accused of drug seeking because I walked into an ER claiming I was in terrible pain, a 6-8 on the pain scale depending on how I moved. Because I was able to speak, they didn't believe me. When they saw my 7mm and 4mm kidney stones on the CT scan they rushed me dilauded!

Chronic pain is awful, but you learn how to deal. I have fibromyalgia and some neuropathy. :(

And I have fibromyalgia and two permanently fucked up discs in my back. We knows from dealing with pain, ayup.

*rolls eyes* at the ER docs* Yeah, been there. My current GP just writes me scrips for painkillers whenever I ask for 'em, and doesn't bat a lash. If anything, she gets on me for not taking them often enough.
