By popular request--birthday ideas, gifts for those lacking in knowledge or inspiration:
My Docs are about to give up the ghost, poor proletariat footwear. (I can't find a size in them tho. q:)
I could use more slacks--I have one pair of nice ones, and they're silk so they're not for every day use.
My Amazon wish list is here and has a metric assload of stuff I've considered wanting.
I think I've dealt with the car issue and should be reporting soon on a successful driving test. Knock wood.

However. The very best gift any of you could give me is a gift I do get, every day. Your love, your support, your hugs, your presence. The past year and a half have really sucked an amazing lot for me, and I do not exaggerate when I say I would not have survived it without the people I've chosen to include in my life.
You are all my favorite present. Happy birthday to me.

I remember the day well. I remember how I had everyone looking for a book to take to the hospital, a book I had returned to the library, all because I didn't to go to the hospital. You are a child that has given me great joy, and I know that I gave you a few things also, some that you didn't deserve.
