I was just opining to a friend how it felt like I had a hangover, and it logically followed that I was owed a night of drinking. And then I got to wondering if I had people on my friendslist who find the idea of a night of drinking attractive.
Here's your chance--sound off!

Uhm. Do I really need to answer this? :)

(Yes.)

Of course you do! Just like I had to go and stand under the balcony for the official Throwing of the Garter. It's an enforced group activity.

Like you would've had a problem with catching the garter that had been on my leg just moments before.

I would have been glad to take that onus, for the betterment of the wedding party, and serve in the name of the common good.

No drinking for me, I think... I have a hard enough time getting sleep right now, what with the feline chorus of "dear god, what's wrong with you, you moved me to a new place and locked me in the bedroom and I'm BORED" and all. ;)

Really? I often find alcohol just makes me sleepy. (:
But my cats are both borrowed, and I can tell them to shut the hell up and go sleep with their mom.

This is why I prefer borrowing other people's children over having my own, too.

Good gods! And another hangover?! Two for the price of one is not always a bargain!

Well no, that was the point. I've already had the hangover, and thus there should be a night of drinking to balance the scales. Like paying your bill at a restaurant before getting your foods, instead of getting the cheque afterward.

If only that were how it worked!

I don't drink. And yet, a night drinking with YOU would be lovely. :)

Although I get the feeling you didn't mean me all the way away. :)

I'm not making plans for tonight (although if people came over for low key social drinking in the living room it would not break my heart) but more as a general survey. And I'm certain we could find you a chocolate milk or something to drink instead.

I was thinking about drinking on Friday night, but I had too much else to do. In general, drinking = YAY.

I would be down with this! I can bring a bag full of lemons from the tree and make drinks for people.

An entire night of nothing but drinking, or a social event with lots of drinking as a part of it?

If it were just a night of nothing but drinking, partners would be superfluous. (: It's more the intention to alter yourself slightly through the course of the evening with alcohol while in the company of others.

And that would be a fine way to convolve cocktails and conversation. Perhaps the conversation concerns the cocktails themselves.

Attractive? Sometimes. Only in the right mood, with the right people. I've only had a night of drinking...two or three times since I turned 21? :P

Not to the point of hangover, no, but short of that, with enough notice to avoid other conflicts, sure.

We have a bar of doom at my apartment. Every now and then we have people over for games or something and then my roommate attempts to give me a hangover by pouring me quadruple shots of whiskey when I'm not looking :-P

My roommate makes me pour my own drinks.

My roommate is amazed by the fact that I can drink hard alcohol for hours and be pretty much okay the next day. He likes to pour me drinks in revenge for the times I've gotten up after we've spent the evening drink early when he's still crashed and, I don't know, dropped pins or something that made noise to add to his hangover torture. So far his plotting has not worked.

But yeah, we have lots of alcohol in the house and drink it fairly regularly *laugh*

Dynamite. Except for the sad not-drinking-this-month and not-living-anywhere-close-enough things, though. (Other than that, I'd be there.)
