cyrano: (Emperor or Trouble)

You know, when the white patch in my beard started expanding, I could pretty much pretend it was because the hair was growing longer so it looked like the patch was bigger. And the grey streak in my hair, once it was discovered, never got any bigger, so that was just a fluke. But once I discovered grey in my chest hair, that became too much to ignore.

So instead you ask me questions so I can answer them and be distracted. Ready? Go!

I read the title of this post and gasped (you probably heard it, or at least felt the air pressure drop from The Gay Gasp), thinking, 'Chuck knows Mitsou!', but then I remembered that it wasn't Mitsou who recorded that song first and got all depressed. Make me happy; tell me you know who Mitsou is.

I .... know who Mitsou is. But only in a sort of second hand fashion. I know 'she is French Canadian, and part of that mini 'Candianvasion' we got back when Alanis Morisette broke out.
She had that song about 'Mon Cowboy'.

Although technically, that's more of an imperative than an interrogative. (:

True. In true me fashion, I neglected to pay attention to the whole 'ask me stuff' part of it, and got bossy. :)

Have you ever shaven/ depilated any other part of your body and if not, would you ever?

I have on occasion shaven or plucked the nape of my neck, around my eyebrows, and in extreme circumstance my nose. But for the most part I hate shaving and would need a great deal of encouragement to participate in it. Waxing likely falls under a similar. Things like 'for surgery' or 'for swim team' or something like that would probably meet that qualification.

I'm testing my limits at work since I hope to have a new job very soon. How much attitude is too much to give my manager, the one who is as dumb as a brick?

Also, what is so damn addictive about hot cocoa?

This game, in fact, was one that made my stint in customer service vaguely tolerable--how snide can you be to a passenger without said passenger noticing? And I will say that generally the key is keeping a close tab on how much your target is actually paying attention to you.

Hot cocoa is made from God's own dandruff and thus contains the castoff of the divine. It is better when made with cinnamon, or ground pepper,

So are you the emperor, or are you in a great deal of trouble? When will you know for sure?

If you are the emperor, will you make the spammers pay, one day?

I'm pretty sure I'm not the emperor. However, when Morden comes and asks me what I want, then I already have my answer.
(I want another fifty bucks so I can justify buying the DVDs!)
And they will pay. Oh yes, they will pay.

People tell me my gray hair makes me look dignified, and my ever-fragile ego wants to believe them. It's never seemed to work against me so I don't tend to fret over it.

It's not a matter of my appearance, for me. It's my mortality.

I was forced to come to grips with that one long ago.

What kind of offering might one make to Aphrodite if she were so inclined? (Not expecting knowledge per se, maybe just creativity.)

Personally, I would say the creation of beautiful things, or things created in a spirit of love. A poem, a piece of music, an LJ icon... I think even found objects, like a stone or a flower. And there should be fire, or perhaps just heat--perhaps pomegranite brandy flambee, or avocado with a peppery sauce served in the hole from the stone.

No, I will not buy you a mercedes they cost to much to repair. But I do Have a question, do you ever get over fibro and will the anti depressants ever really make you feel good, or just broke?

My experience is that you get over fibro, but only for a day or two. It's kind of like life that way. And my experience with antidepressants hasn't been much better. But then again, they were the wrong medication for me to be on, so they can't really be blamed for it.

Fibromyalgia. A debilitative nerve condition that we don't know a damned thing about. It's exacerbated by physical activity, cold, humidity, possibly the phases of the moon and god only knows what all else and generally manifests as fatigue and pain which often centers around joints and muscles. Many folks often also have insomnia, headaches, and a host of other conditions which may or may not be linked to the condition because, again, we don't know a damned thing about what it does, why it does it or that stuff.

My mom has that... I was pretty sure that's what you were talking about. If I'm lucky, I get fibromyalgia too! *hates hereditary traits*

What is it about the Food Network that's so damn enjoyable, even though I wouldn't eat a single thing they cook?

You get the luxury and decadence of somebody cooking for you without having to clean up the mess or wash dishes.
